This is MHA’s newest village, having been built in 2011. It comprises 24 two-bedroom cottages and 3 one-bedroom units, and a community hall. It is situated on John Avenue, Charlo; many streets in Charlo are named after authors of New Testament gospels, and other biblical characters.
This village is named in honour of Bishop George Irvine, founding father of MHA in Gqeberha, who also served for some years as one of its Directors.
Liaison Committee: Residents who wish to become involved with some operational matters at the village may volunteer to serve on this committee. They are the link between residents and management, and assist with some operational functions.

The village offers a monthly Blood Pressure Clinic and there is a well-stocked library on site. Every cottage has a Fibre connection (linking to an internet service provider is for a resident’s own account), and the residents run their own recycling project.
Two-course
midday meals are available to residents daily, at a cost which is much less
than if they were to prepare meals themselves.
